Devotees thronged temples to pay their obeisance to Lord Krishna on the occasion of Janmashtami."Janmashtami is a very significant festival in the Hindu religion and every year, I, along with my family, make sure to pay obeisance at the temple here," a devotee Masth Nath Yogi said.Children dressed in colourful attires as Krishna and Radha and a special shoba yatras were also held to mark the occasion.In the shoba yatra a large number of devotees participated. Chanting “Hare Rama, Hare Krishna”, thousands of devotees thronged Temples to pay obeisance to Lord Krishna.All temples of Lord Krishna in the Chenab valley were decorated with flowers, bounties and colourful lights.Devotees were also singing prayers in the praise of Lord Krishna. Special Langars (Community Kitchens) were also organised by the society members where followers of Krishna were offered Prasad.
